The tallest office building in Denmark.

Standing at 143 meters, Mindet at Sydhavnen in Aarhus will be the tallest office building in Denmark.

The developer Ejendomsselskabet Olav de Linde's upcoming building will be visible from all over Aarhus and has a unique 360-degree view from the exclusive office spaces.

The base of the old existing building, which was used as a storage facility for grain, will be transformed into a commercial space with restaurants, shops and other businesses. Around the building a green oasis named "de Lindehaven" - will be established in two levels. It consists of a city square at street level with trees, seating areas and art, and a publicly accessible roof garden with greenhouses, seating areas, and plants that will be established on top of the existing building. In addition, a large parking garage will be built.

The base plate of the tall building is a vital structural component, as it connects the stabilizing core of the high-rise to the 57 m long foundation piles. As a result, the 1.75 m thick base plate must be able to transfer high forces. To overcome this, 7100 pieces of PSB-J headed anchors were installed to connect the top and bottom reinforcement.

"We chose to use PSB-J Headed Anchors as shear reinforcement for our base plate to improve productivity and the working environment for our craftsmen. The installation of PSB-J was fast and without our crews having to stay in confined spaces in a complex reinforcement arrangement. Our collaboration with Peikko Denmark was excellent, and together we determined the exact specifications for the product," says Jesper Scharff Lanng, Project Manager for the concrete work at Mindet, Per Aarsleff A/S.

Normally, shear reinforcement is carried out with hoops that are "sewn" together with the other reinforcement of the base plate. With PSB-J, the shear reinforcement can be installed after the other reinforcement of the base plate has been completed. PSB-J is designed with a hook at the top, which is used to hang the shear reinforcement from the top reinforcement of the base plate. This saves many working hours and improves the working environment for the craftsmen significantly.
